The project “Interregional Cooperation for Climate Adaptation in Agriculture” (ADAPTAGRI) is a joint initiative of three organizations from Türkiye, Bulgaria, and Greece. The initiative aims to develop and implement innovative solutions for introducing smart and environmentally friendly agricultural practices that support climate change adaptation and contribute to building more resilient food production systems. The project focuses on regions facing pronounced climate-related challenges in the participating countries — namely: Dobrudzha in Bulgaria, Evros in Greece, and Thrace (Tekirdağ, Edirne, and Kırklareli) in Türkiye.
The planned activities are grouped into several main areas:
The project implementation focuses on knowledge transfer, experience exchange, and adoption of innovative practices, achieved through the active participation of local communities and farmers’ associations in close cooperation with the expert teams of the partner organizations.
Expected results of the ADAPTAGRI project include:
