DABS implemented a project under Measure 111 (Training, information and diffusion of knowledge) from the Rural Development Fund Programme 2007-2013. Measure 111 relates to vocational training within Axis 2. The Programme is financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
Objective: Under Measure 111 supplementary training and information activities were offered to farmers on voluntary basis to improve their capacity and skill for the implementations of the individual agri-environmental packages.
Activities:
Dobrudja Agricultural and Business School organized 3-days seminars under the programme in 4 different topics:
· “Organic farming - European perspectives and Development” – total of 12 seminars
· “New Technologies and European experience in the cultivation of grains and fodder crops” – 11 seminars
· “Viticulture – current trends” – 6 seminars
· “Modern practices and technologies in animal breeding” – 15 seminars
Results:
In the period 2011-2012 DABS organized short-term thematic vocational training courses for over 1200 agricultural producers. A total of 44 seminars were held in 6 different cities in Bulgaria.
