Frequently asked questions

QGetting startedEveryone talks about sustainable farming. What should I actually change on my farm?
Expert answer
In short: Start with the problem that costs you most and change one practice at a time on a limited area.

Start with the problem that causes you the biggest losses. If it is drought, focus on keeping moisture in the soil, suitable varieties and better crop rotation. If your fertiliser costs are high, the first step is a soil analysis and checking whether you fertilise according to the needs of the field.

You do not need to change your whole technology at once. Choose one change, apply it on a limited area, and compare the yield, the costs and the final result. A sustainable practice must protect the soil and water, but it must also make sense for the farm.
